Overview

Horizon Cafe - Pasay, nestled within the bustling Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, offers a welcoming retreat for diners seeking both comfort and flavor in Metro Manila. This restaurant stands out with its thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates Filipino culinary staples while also introducing innovative twists.

The true stars of Horizon Cafe's menu include the hearty Batchoy, rich and savory with a satisfying depth of broth and tender noodles, and the uniquely crafted Horizon’s Beef Cansi, a bright and flavorful slow-cooked beef stew that showcases regional tastes with a modern appeal. For bakery lovers, the Garlic Cream Bun is a delightful treat—soft, buttery, and perfectly balanced with a subtle garlic punch. Meanwhile, the Chicken Arroz Caldo offers a warm, comforting bowl that is both nostalgic and nourishing, perfect for any time of the day.

The setting complements the menu well—a clean, spacious environment that suits families, solo diners, and business travelers alike. The spacious layout ensures that even during busy hours, there is no feeling of crowding, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxed meal. The staff’s attentiveness, highlighted by customers who experienced exceptional service, indicates a team committed to hospitality and guest satisfaction. From accommodating special needs to keeping coffee cups filled without intrusion, their service enhances the overall dining experience.

Horizon Cafe caters primarily to those who appreciate Filipino flavors made with care and a hint of creativity, as well as visitors to the Mall of Asia looking for a dependable spot for breakfast, lunch, or a casual dinner. While the menu could benefit from expanding its breakfast selections to include more traditional favorites like corned beef or daing, its current offerings remain robust and flavorful. This minor gap aside, the cafe’s commitment to quality and consistency earns it high marks from patrons.

While a rare incident involving a disruptive guest was brought up, it reflects the challenges of maintaining a peaceful dining atmosphere in public spaces and the importance of clear management policies. Overall, Horizon Cafe remains a reliable and pleasant destination for anyone craving a taste of the Philippines within the energetic heart of Pasay City.

It’s a 4.5! Value for money and have a variety of choices. Should include noodles or pasta in bfast menu as well. Missing some pinoy bfast menu e.g. corned beef, tuyo or daing, hotdog for kids. Service is excellent! No waiting time.

The only thing we think it could have been better was when we had our breakfast at Horizon Cafe. We witnessed a (chinese)family being rude, impatient and We think the management should handled better. I think they did not imposed their policy more and just let this family sit anywhere just because the chinese guy was almost screaming. Good thing this american guy stood up for what is right and just cannot take how rude this family are. It is never a misunderstanding and we know we can only do so much. Acknowledging and empathize with this family is the only way to give; but I hope the policy should have been explained to this group and not by just saying "we apologize and its a misunderstanding" we never apologize for their wrongdoings as they should be ashamed for their attitude. They are screaming and bossing around the cafe staff. Whatever the american guy told the manager about the family is right and such a relief to say! Hahaha. Good thing the chinese family ended leaving the hotel---as they should!

Pizza Supreme - tasted good and seem to be decent ingredients obviously pizza crust is not like you get in North America. In Philippines we eat mostly Philippine food makes sense. Staying in the hotel my wife call to remind them about our order.

Randi, stephanie and april gave great service. I have an autistic child that was crying and Randi connected him with his own Hotspot. That made for great breakfast. April and stephanie kept our coffee cups full. This was the best so far on this trip to Philippines .

Food was above average, i enjoyed my toast with eggs & bacon, and iced cappuccino. The service, meanwhile, was exceptional! Honestly one of the best service we've experienced, thanks to sir Celeo, our waiter. He even gave us complimentary fruits on the house. Much appreciated :) He (and all other staff) were attentive. Thank you! We will be back for sure the next time we're in the area.

I tried eating at this restaurant located in Hotel 101 and the food is just okay. Using Eatigo, I get a good deal and my verdict: a good deal of you get a discount but I won't pay full price. For the breakfast buffet which costs 450 pesos, I overheard that it's a good value for the price. I didn't try it since I ate at nearby Riviera Cafe.

It is heartening to discover a quaint restaurant as Horizon Cafe in the bustling Mall of Asia. With a slew of restaurants to choose from the area, I would recommend this place if you are on the hunt for good Filipino cuisine Starting off my recommendations with the Pork Sisig which was bursting with flavor and well seasoned meat - I enjoyed every bite! Also I love how they prepared and enhanced the flavors of their Pinakbet as well as Ensaladang Mangga flavors - each were served generously by the way The Kansi could be better improved with the use of Beef Shanks and the skin of Lechon Kawali best to have it’s crunch on Overall a pleasantly surprising experience The staff were completely friendly so Kudos to their Manager - Mac!!
